Hyperport H2 Sandal (Women)

This is my third pair of Hyperports. I have a pair for house cleaning, a pair for vacations, and this pair for wearing to work. Keen Hyperports make my feet happy. I wear Keen sandals year-round in Alaska. I also have two pairs of Keen Newports, which I also love, but Hyperports are lighter.

I love the ascetic appearance of these shoe. The sole is comfortable and I appreciate the wider width/toebox so my toes can stretch out. I read other reviews stating that the heal area can rub and cause blisters. The day I received them I decided to wear them around the house all day to see if that would be a problem for me. They rubbed a little, but not enough to cause blisters. Of course, I wasn’t doing major walking. I decided to wear them outside to a local Farmers Market the next day. They were painful. The left foot was worse. The area was extremely red and irritated, but if I’d worn them longer I would have had a blister. I do agree with one other reviewer that stated the angle of area that rest up against your ankle may be too much for some of us. I’ve already worn them outside so I can’t return. I need to figure out a remedy for the ankle issues. I have other Keen shoes and several pairs of Newport H2’s that I was lucky enough to be able to wear right out of the box. Sadly, that’s not true of this pair.
