I am not a huge fan of Kate Spade only because the style is a bit too conservative for me. However, This is the second one I own because the designs are the best I have seen as far as combining utility, quality, style and price. This bag is one of those. The straps are removable so you can choose a handbag vs. a cross body. I remove the handbag strap for a minimalist look, if you want the bling, leave it on. There is a slim pocket in that back that is perfect for your cell phone. You can check it without opening the whole bag, brilliant! Also, you can remove the closure flap to a different color. I didn't know this and I don't know if Nordstrom sells it but that is a cool option. One other thing, it is a bit larger that a typical cross body, so check measurements before you buy.

Full disclosure...I’m not a black bag kind of girl given that I wear a lot of dark colors, but this bag spoke to me. It’s not as big as I usually buy but is big enough to hold everything I need to carry...no extras...which is good! I thought I could use it as a crossbody bag, but it’s a little big for that...maybe for a short while but not an all day crossbody. The only thing missing to make this a perfect bag are “feet” on the bottom to protect the leather. Otherwise... This is a classic style and I know I’m going to use it a lot!
