Wool Blend Wrap Coat

I purchased the green coat. The color, fit, length of the coat and the sleeves are perfect. Beautiful green lining. I don't think it's very heavy. The weight is adequate for this type of coat. A couple of details though that one should know, and that the pictures do not show. 1.The button closure is shiny/silver, not the color of the coat. 2. The coat has two strings that are used for tying the coat inside to keep it in place. One of the strings is on the outside and is impossible to hide if wearing the coat untied.

This coat is super heavy, (I know it wool), very long, and it fit through the shoulders, but looked huge on the bottom. The right sleeve lining was way too long and hung out the bottom of the sleeve. The weight made it feel like a high end item, but the fit and lining were subpar. Ordered a medium so I could wear a sweater underneath, but looked way to big on me.

I ordered the dark green and the color did not disappoint! It’s absolutely beautiful, and I liked that the bottom of the coat has a subtle A-line shape (not a straight cut down) that looks dressy. I ordered XS and it generally fit but was just too long for my 5’4 frame. I think this coat would be perfect for someone just a bit taller than me.

I needed a nice black coat and this one is almost perfect. Yes, this is a heavy coat, but to me, it speaks to the quality of the fabric. Once it's on the body, it does not feel heavy. The fabric is a wool blend and has a slightly brushed hand to it. Very soft. I'm 5'4" about 120lbs, and I purchased the XS. It fits perfectly, and will even work with a sweater underneath. Not tight in the back or the sleeves. I didn't feel that it was too long on my frame like another 5'4" buyer did. but if you're any shorter or thinner, you might be swimming in it. The 2 things that bother me are the sewn-in grosgrain ribbon that hangs right at the opening and the silver snap that is visible from the outside when the coat is open. The ribbon on mine is already 1/2 torn at the seam so I'll simply remove that, but the silver snap is needed yet noticeable enough that it cheapens the coat. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have used a snap to match the fabric. The shiny silver stands out enough that I'm thinking of returning it. At a minimum, I will take it to Nordstrom alterations to see if they can replace it with a black button or snap. If they can, I'm certainly keeping it.
