What it is: A lightweight mousse that tailors to your individual skin tone for a long-lasting tan in one application.
What it does: This iconic mousse delivers a natural, healthy-looking tan with a streak-free and easy-to-apply formula. Formulated without that classic self-tan smell, it's quick-drying, nonsticky and won't transfer. It's ultrahydrating for 24 hours with an even fade.
How to use: Exfoliate skin 24 hours prior to use. Immediately before application, moisturize any dry areas, including your elbows, knees, ankles and feet. For best results, apply using a tan applicator mitt (sold separately) in long, sweeping motions, starting at the ankles and working your way up. Ensure all areas are covered before lightly gliding any excess tan from your mitt over your hands and feet. Wait until touch-dry before putting on clothes. Allow eight hours before showering to reveal your developed tan. To prolong and maintain your tan, moisturize daily and exfoliate regularly. Reapply as desired.

REPLY TO green tint AND doesnt stay on
I hardly ever write reviews, which I know I should since I rely heavily on reviews when online shopping… but felt compelled to leave a comment because of two reviews I read here. One comment mentions that this tanner “washed away” when it comes in contact with water, and another mentions the “green tint” they got. These are not product flaws, that’s literally what it’s supposed to do. There is a purposeful tint that acts as a GUIDE for application. It’s SUPPOSED to be slightly greenish and it’s SUPPOSED to wash off lol. The guide helps you see where you’ve applied the tanner so you don’t miss a spot or don’t blend somewhere. The color develops over 8 hours (when it shouldn’t get wet), then you rinse or wash the guide color off. Very simple instructions on the bottle that explain that.
That being said, St. Tropez is among the best self tanners available. I’ve been using it for years and years and it’s still my favorite. I’m pale with red hair and blue eyes and burn very easily, so I layer on the sunscreen, but I hate being pale/basically translucent. So I use St Tropez year round. One application every 3 weeks or so in the winter, and every 1-2 weeks in the summer (depending on how dark I want to be) helps me easily maintain a natural looking tan that’s long lasting.
I honestly might buy two of these jumbo bottles. I’ve only ever seen this side during the anniversary say and it’s a fantastic value. One bottle should last me the rest of the summer and the other hurtle for fall-spring. Usually I buy a new bottle every couple of months! A small price to pay for being able to look and feel my best without the risks of sun exposure!

Love this!
Having not traveled for all of this year, it’s fair to say I am fading into my white sheets. Not to say that I have ever tanned in the sun, but going to a tropical climate usually gives me the incentive to spray tan on a regular enough basis. Thanks to covid, I haven’t. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t leave my house and I have zero motivation so I’ve used this product all of one week. But I looked amazing that week. It’s now been sitting in my bathroom drawer for months. I look forward to using it again in the future should I ever have reason to leave my house again.

This is my favorite self-tanning product
I've used this product for 2 summers now and it's my go-to. I tried another one that involves putting drops of the product into your lotion, which sounded good for getting overall coverage. However, it wasn't working for me. I really like St. Tropez mousse and bought another jumbo sized bottle for the summer of 2022. I leave mine on all day and rinse it off at night. It stains your sheets if you don't do that, but the sheets always come clean in the laundry.

Natural Deep Tan
I have been using the Classic St. Tropez self-tanner for a few years now. When I saw the jumbo size on sale I had to buy it. During the summer, I'm a huge beach person and love having a tan. It helps me get through the long winter months up here in the northeast by giving me a tan that looks natural and not fake. I always use the mitt to apply this so it doesn't get all over my hands. I have sensitive skin and I'm also able to use it on my face!

Just okay
I bought this with the hope I would be able to easily add some color when needed so I wouldn’t feel pressured to not wear sunscreen in the summer, however this is not super reliable. I’ve found that regardless of how long it’s been applied it will pretty easily come off with exposure to water. If it’s raining you’ll have rain drops on your legs, if you go in the water it’ll come off, if you shower it’ll run off. I think some of it will stay on so perhaps I put on too much and it doesn’t soak in (it’s pretty pigmented so you don’t need much to begin with, not sure how I could be putting too much on). To keep it looking fresh I will moisturize and my hands will be somewhat darkened. If you know you won’t be in contact with water I’d say this is a good product, it doesn’t really come off on my clothes if I’m dry but if you sweat a lot or come into moisture/water regularly it’ll come off pretty quickly. The color I would say is reasonable, not super orange-y unless you go crazy with it, and it leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth. My main complaint is related to the water or the lack of water resistance.
