Eyelet Sheath Dress

I ordered this and the Rio and I'm going to keep both. I'm so excited about these! I ordered my True Fit size of 6, and it was spot on (about 128 lbs). At first I had to let the dress "settle" into my body because the shape was different than mine (curves in a different spot at the waist), but in five minutes we melded. The purple is exquisite - hooray for jewel tones and silver hair! Interesting material and hem. Love the neckline and sleeve length. I'm 58, and I'd describe the fit as semi-body-con which is just what I want. At 5'6" the hem is just right - not mini and not so long that I have to wear heels. I can wear ballet flats or sandals now and knee high boots or leggings later.

The dress itself looked nice, but it was not what I expected. I returned it. I ordered the dress in blue and the color was lovely and rich. The fabric is not eyelet lace, it is more of a stretchy fabric, no holes through to an under layer like lace, but designed to appear similar to lace. It is a thicker fabric, but it is not lined. I ordered one size larger than I typically wear. I had intended to wear as a work dress, but it was skin tight and not at all work appropriate. The fabric hugged my rear end in a tight, unflattering way, but hung down towards my legs at an odd angle. Notwithstanding, the scalloped hemline looked nice and otherwise hit at a good length. The sleeves hit at a nice length on my arms. The pictures of the dress on the model were much more flattering than the dress looked on me.

I brought the grey in a size 10. I'm 5'4" and weigh 118 lbs. It's a perfect fit. The length is great for me. I love the quality and style. I plan to wear to our family dinner on Christmas Eve. It can be used for the office or for evening wear with or without jewelry. I ordered this online and couldn't be happier with size guidelines and delivery service. I'm so glad I purchase this as I'm certain that I will get a lot of use out of this dress.
