Nylah Sequin Dress

Wow - yes! I've never gone for sequins. Didn't think I was the type - thought sequins weren't contemporary enough, too old and fussy, trying too hard, too glitzy, too something or other. But I saw the colors and cut of this dress and went for it and am so glad I did. I think this dress especially works because the sequins are clear, adding just enough shimmer over a beautiful, subtle but interesting pattern. Sleeves are great. A little sexy but still classy and not tight and restricting or revealing. Easy to move in! If you're on the fence, go for it. And do consider ordering a size down. I'm six feet tall and ordered a size 8. Slit in the front is acceptable - wouldn't want it any higher! May have it altered slightly for better closure.

The photos show the dress with darted pleats and shape. This dress had neither. The pleats on the shirt were not tight, they were sloppy and would need to be tailored. I am petite and the top part in the shoulders was too long. If I kept this dress I would need to have the shoulders tailored significantly. This dress looks great on the model, but needs help in real life. Even the split in front does not hit in the same spot as the model.
