Chloe Sequin Gown

This dress fit *mostly* as expected, since I sized down like the description recommended. I'm 5'4", 130 lbs, and the size 6 fit okay. Unfortunately, the good things end there. First, the fit issues: the sleeves came past my elbow, not as short as on the model. They were also pretty scratchy, as they rubbed against the inside of my elbow and arm, but I have irritable skin. I'd also have to get this hemmed at least 10 inches, and I think hemming the sequins might be too work-intensive (the existing hem has removed the sequins on the underside of the hem, so I'd guess the tailor would have to do much the same to shorten it). What makes this dress not worth tailoring, though, is the quality. The mesh overlay is incredibly thin, so it shows every little wrinkle in the lining, the line of shapewear or undergarments, etc. I tugged the lining down and smoothed it out, only to see it wrinkle right back up again as soon as I drew a breath or moved my arm. I also noticed a couple of areas where the threads had come loose, and a half-inch of sequins was missing. They weren't in the bag or box (or on my floor), so this happened before the garment was shipped to me. The final straw was something the photos and description fail to mention: the liner *has cutouts* on the sides, so the sides are almost completely sheer. And the cut-outs are very large - from under your armpit in a half-diamond to your hip. It shows the sides of your bra plus any shapewear (or just underwear) you may be wearing, even if they're skin-toned. No. Just no.
