Gorgeous, not for me
I'm on the hunt for a Mother of Bride dress (fall wedding). Five stars b/c this is a gorgeous dress - exquisite, really. I love the sheer neckline and back. Quality is great (I've tried several JS Collections dresses and they've all been impressive). Two reasons why it doesn't work for me:
1) A-line silhouette is not flattering on me - "matronly" is what I thought when I looked in the mirror (not good)
2) The dress itself is so much prettier than I am I felt like I'd be wearing a work of art - people would be looking at the dress, not me. I need a dress than enhances my looks but it's still me walking around.
Sizing - I'm 5'6" 138 lb and always a solid 8 in dresses. I bought a 10 b/c they were out of 8s and it fit with a little room -would need a very small bit of tailoring. So I think it runs small.

Wonderful dress
I love this dress. It was perfect for a Mother of the Groom dress for a wedding. Lovely. I received numerous compliments and it fit perfectly. I was also comfortable all night and could dance all evening. I tried on numerous dresses before purchasing this one and this dress was by far the best.
