Loxley Waterproof Hooded Raincoat

I love this coat! The fit is super flattering, and the coat is warm and stood up to the rain just great. I took this with me to Iceland and it was perfect in the fall. As a previous reviewer stated, it does run a bit big depending on your body type. So it all depends on what you are looking for. I am a more hourglass figure and really struggle with longer coats fitting over my hips. Typically I have to size up to accommodate my hips. And I was so happy, I didn't need to do that for this coat. If you have a straighter body type, I'd advise you to size down. I am 5'5 and the coat is a bit longer than my knees. I loved that. So happy I found this coat!

I am so glad I snagged this on sale! I love the length - I am 5'8 and it falls to my knees. The pockets are lined with velour (or something soft and fuzzy like that). I love the sherpa throughout the hood and top part. Material feels very sturdy and I am ready to wear this in the rain - I believe this will last a lot of rainy days. The cut is cute, flattering, and just enough to keep me warm. This is my first Joules purchase, and I am excited to shop more from this brand. As for sizing, I got a size M and I was able to wear a sweatshirt comfortably - not too tight, not oversized - if you want a more snug feel, then size down.

Purchased this for an upcoming trip but I returned it for several reasons: I purchased a 6 but could have gone with a 2 or a 4 and the coat is just a bit too heavy for the climate we are travelling to. I like to look, including the nice long length but the hood feels overly large on me. The zipper and snaps work well and I like the cuffs. Too many rain coats have the elastic sleeves which I hate. If this brand makes this in a size 2, I might reconsider purchasing it for the colder months.

I've worn the coat only a few times. Today I noticed the stitching is not the best. Areas where you would think it would be a fine straight stitch, instead the stitch is not exactly straight and in some areas it is back-stitched, where it should not be back-stitched. The coat tends to attract threads, dust, etc. , which show up pretty well on the dark material. I think the coat might have been stitched by a person wearing a mask. The power machine operator who sewed the coat may have had difficulty functioning under pandemic conditions. BUT, the coat keeps me warm. PLUS, I do not overheat in it. In other words, the coat is good under a wide-range of temperatures from freezing cold to chilly. The coat is comfortable and has a good design. I am glad I have it. I got the last size 16 that was available at this time.
