Versatile and Well Made
This is an excellent all purpose overcoat. I purchased this to keep at a second residence in the city - which is Chicago. I need a coat to wear to the office over a suit that’s warm in winter and waterproof in the spring and summer.
With the liner in, this is warm enough to resist Chicago’s winter. The liner zips out easily. The coat is waterproof and has a hidden hood zipped under the collar. The hood is no substitute for a hat in cold weather, but is great if you for get your umbrella or it’s too windy to use.
The style is plain. It buttons closed. There is no zipper alternative which I’m okay with.

Does not come with hood despite the name
The jacket is a great quality coat and seems to be constructed well. The fabric is water resistant (checked by sprinkling some water on it) and would be useful in a storm. HOWEVER, it does not come with a hood. The item name and description are misleading. My order did not come with a hood nor was it stowed away anywhere on the jacket. I took it into the closest Nordstrom location to me and they were unable to find it on/in the jacket either. Nordstrom support was unable to help further.
If you are looking for a HOODED jacket, you might want to look at another raincoat option. If you are in the market for a raincoat and don’t care about the lack of hood, this is a good option.
