Selena 50 Waterproof Bootie (Women)

I have a couple of pairs of Josef Seibel booties and have worn them regularly and comfortably. This one came in size 9-9.5 and it fit a bit loosely, but was so stiff I was very unhappy with it. I bought this to replace a pair of Munro's that I have worn out, having purchased twice now, and was looking for a replacement. I've loved my Munro Bradley, but felt that I needed to switch things up a bit. Regrettably, these went back. Just not happy with them ,

I love these boots for rainy or cooler weather days. Unlike similarly marketed waterproof boots, these feel sturdy and light weight. The navy is a very deep shade so I consider it my neutral with a subtle twist. It pairs well with my navy rain coat. Several reviewers mentioned that the boot runs narrow and they are correct. I have a narrow foot so I’m very pleased with the fit. The footbed is comfortable and I walked for miles in them while visiting the Bay Area during these torrential rains lately. Great comfort, grip and the ability to dress up or down in them. Perfect!

Beautiful boot, however, I just walked through some wet grass with my dog for about a half hour in these and my socks were wet as was inside toe box. This was only wet grass and the boots were never immersed in water or even tromped through a puddle. And the leather looks beaten up and old now, just as if you’d been in the rain with regular leather. I’m kind of shocked with the claim made for these considering how expensive they are. I have always loved this brand, but this is egregious.
