What it does: The luxurious emulsion revitalizes skin to give your complexion radiance. It was created by Neur|aé, a skin-care brand inspired by neuroscience that shows our emotions have an impact on our features over time. It aims to address this impact and enhance skin's wellness. The brand's efficacy is based on its proprietary N|A3 technology, a combination of neuro ingredients, neuro fragrances and neuro textures. Unique ingredients go beyond the surface to provide transformative solutions to rejuvenate dull, tired or stressed skin, visibly rebalancing facial features. The emulsion is formulated with 96% ingredients of natural origin.
Key ingredients:
- Alpine skullcap: the alpine-skullcap extract promotes the cutaneous level of positive messengers to boost the skin's well-being
- Andrographis paniculata: the andrographis paniculata extract encourages the cutaneous level of positive messengers for revitalized skin
- Fermented red ginseng: fermented red-ginseng extract has energizing and toning properties
How to use: Take a small amount of the emulsion and apply the product over the entire face. Spread the product over your knuckles. Join your hands at the center of your face, then use the edges of your index fingers to spread the product, stretching your cheekbones and smoothing your forehead from your eyebrows to the top of your face. Then slide your hands from your forehead to your chin in a circular motion. Finally, using your fingertips, move down your neck and finish by applying light pressure to your collarbone. Massage the neck using downward strokes from the collarbone toward your chin, using your fingers. Vigorously lift the skin from the chin toward the cheekbones as if you were trying to enhance them. Use your thumbs and forefingers to grip the center of your lips, then stretch the smile area up to your ears. Without pressing, use the pad of your ring finger to smooth your eyebrows outward, then lightly sweep under the eye contours in a circular motion. The emulsion can be used day and night.

A fresh new take on luxury skincare
This is such a beautiful addition to my skincare routine. The texture is creamy and melts into my skin following the Harmonie serum. It applies rather thick which I love but immediately melts into your skin like an emulsion. I followed the facial massage technique for application and it truly is an amazing sensory experience. Application feels more like a spa treatment than at home skincare. The scent is so invigorating, fresh and not overwhelming. I can honestly say that after my 6th-7th day of use (using twice a day) my dry spots on my forehead and around my nasolabial folds has dramatically decreased and the oily spots in my t-zone are no where nearly as oily. I feel like my skin is more balanced and glowing. I had a FaceTime call with my mother who lives overseas and she asked what I’ve been doing to my skin because it looks amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this collection and I’m so looking forward to seeing even more results. I received this skin care item from the Stellar Product Testing Panel

Smell might trigger migraines
This was recommended by a store associate. I’m glad I got samples of this because the smell was too heavy and triggered a migraine when I tried it. Therefore, if you are sensitive to strong scents I would tread with caution.

NOT SO SPECIAL
I've been using the Joie Emulsion both morning and night, nearly every day. As a skincare enthusiast who has tried everything from budget to high-end brands, I was excited to give this a go. The emulsion has a lovely scent and does initially leave my skin feeling and looking supple. It's a bit thick going on, but that didn’t bother me.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't repurchase it. While it smells amazing—think of a luxurious version of Bath & Body Works or Victoria’s Secret scents—it didn’t deliver the results I was hoping for, especially given the price. My skin’s texture and hydration didn’t show any noticeable improvement after consistent use, and it only keeps my skin feeling hydrated for a few hours before I feel dry again. I've tried many moisturizers and emulsions over the past decade, each for months at a time, to truly gauge effectiveness, and I’ve had better results with less expensive options. I wish I’d gotten a sample first to try it out.

Radiance Boosting for Dry and Dull Skin
I received the Neurae Joie Cream as part of the Stellar Testing Panel for my honest review. I was excited to see how the first ever neuroscience-based skincare would perform on my dry, sensitive, and dull skin.
The packaging feels elegant and high-quality, with a natural touch of a wooden lid. However, the outer jar is quite large, leaving some extra space between the refillable pot and the outer jar, making it a bit bulky for travel. Additionally, no applicator is included to prevent product contamination.
Despite being labeled as an "emulsion," this face cream has a rich, smooth texture that's more akin to butter than the lightweight, milky texture I typically associate with emulsions. A small amount of product suffices to cover the face and neck. The light and calming scent provides a relaxing sensation.
I regularly follow the face and neck massage steps from Neurae's website, which feels like a mini spa experience that I look forward to every day. This also allows for better product absorption into my skin. Upon application, it instantly moisturizes the skin and leaves a glowing finish.
This product effectively keeps my skin hydrated, locking in moisture for 12 hours. In the morning, my skin looked plumper and more supple. When I applied makeup, my hydrated skin allowed concealer and foundation to blend easily; no foundation settled into dry flaky skin area.
My husband noticed that my skin looked slightly brighter, and the visible flaky skin near my lips slowly faded (although not completely). However, I experienced some itchy bumps upon application, which I suspect may be due to the fragrance (an important element for aromatherapeutic properties) or a combination with my other skincare products' active ingredients.
The Neurae Joie Cream is a great product for dry and dull skin but may not suit those with fragrance sensitivities or allergies. Despite its high price, it offers great value due to its long-lasting usage. I'll continue using it to see long-term results.

Smella fantastic
I was so excited to try the Neurae Joie Cream. I continued the use of my toning pads and retinoid when I received the serum and cream, and stopped using my bakuchiol serum, vitamin C cream, and moisturizer so I could see the full effects of the Neurae products. The first thing I noticed about the cream was its luxurious container. The internal plastic compartment is a little strange, but does not impact the use of the product. I imagine this is an insert that allows the cream to be refillable. The highlight of the cream is its scent, which is bright and truly joyful. It is a treat to the senses to put on this cream. The cream goes on smoothly and absorbs readily. It makes my skin glow and lasts throughout the day. I will say, however, that it oddly is a little greasy while simultaneously not being quite moisturizing enough to keep my skin from feeling flaky. Other than the wonderful scent, I don’t feel the cream added anything special to my skincare routine. Thanks, Stellar Testing Panel, for letting me try this cream.

Impressed with how bright my skin looked
I received this product on exchange for an honest review from stellar panel. I have never heard of this brand before but the packaging and product definitely feel very high end. I really love the packaging- it’s very elegant and on trend with the glass wood combo. Also- sustainable! You are able to purchase refills which I love. The cream itself is fragrances, more so I feel than the serum from this same brand, so if fragrance is something you find off putting in skin care consider that when purchasing. I was not bothered and found it very pleasant and clean. The product itself absorbed really nicely and I had zero issues with wearing makeup on top. I used it consistently over 3 weeks in place of my normal routine and I can say it did not cause my sensitive skin break outs or irritation but it did leave me a with an overall increased brightness that even my husband complimented me on. Over all I say it’s a great cream that I felt very luxurious while using and I would definitely recommend if you are ancne prone and looking for something that will brighten/moisturize without clogging pores!
