Terrible shoe!
The oiled leather needs a lot of upkeep and your shoes look like they are years old after one day wearing them. Of course they will sell you a treatment to bring them back. Looks great until you wear them again. I tried to take them back after wearing them for two days at an indoor trade show. They wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee. I will say that they were comfortable. The salesman forgot to mention what Oiled Leather means. Disappointed

Nice shoe
Good shoe so far. The don’t like the M/W feature. It’s considered M to get W you take out insert. I wish the had a true wide shoe width. I wear a size 9 and wear inserts for planters fasciitis so I went 1/2 size up to 9 1/2 took insert out and replaced with my own. Overall a nice looking comfortable shoe out of box.

Super comfy and lightweight. The
Super comfy and lightweight. The finish isn’t great (scuffs easily and not a great shine) but really good walking shoes.

Lancer?
I recommend purchasing this shoe 1/2 size larger than one’s normal size. I typically wear an 11, but definitely should have purchased an 11.5! It also took a moment to break the shoes in. I didn’t expect the break-in period to last 2 weeks. However, the shoes are still slightly stiff and not as comfortable as I expected from a premium brand like J&M.

This is my 3rd pair of the xc4. What a great show for the money. I was a cole Haan shoe guy but the quality of J&M shoes are better!
