Jo Malone Grapefruit Cologne
This scent, by far, is the best I've ever worn. Some scents spray on strong and you need to wait for it to "settle" to enjoy it's fragrance. You will enjoy it's fragrance from the second you spray it on.

too perfumey
I bought this without trying it first. It was suggested in a Glamour Magazine article. I had hoped it would have a wonderful clean fragrance like citrus as the name suggests. It was no where near a citrus smell. It was not refreshing as I had hoped. It was a heavy perfume smell that lingered on for the whole day even after trying to wash it off. It may appeal to some but not to those who want a light fragrance.

Jo Malone Grapefruit Cologne

freshens/lightens when combined
This fragrance smells strong at first but once it dries down it has a very fresh and light scent. I love combining this with English Pear & Freesia (it helps to mellow out the floral), or combining with Nectarine Blossom & Honey (tones down the sweetness). It's a great layering scent!

Very masculine
I couldn't tell this was grapefruit cologne at all. It smells like a men's cologne. There is too much spice. On the positive side, the box contained samples of other Jo Malone fragrances, and I found one that I liked much much better.

Too masculine and spicy for me.
I was hoping for a bright, sparkling, citrusy grapefruit scent with this, but it has an assertive musky undertone to my nose (at least, when I wear it– maybe not so much on others?) and it's very masculine. I disliked it so much that I showered just to remove the smell.
I returned Grapefruit and have opted for Nectarine Blossom which has more of the crisp brightness I was looking for. I also have been experimenting with Jo's Bluebell, which has a sweet, earthy fresh cut grass smell to me. I find both of these optional scents more feminine and bright than the Grapefruit.
