Cece Western Bootie (Women)

This is a gorgeous boot, but because of the shape of the toe, it makes my size 7.5/8 foot look like an 11, completely disproportionate to my body. I ordered an 8.5 as JC shoes typically run small, and that was the right size for me. The boot is also very stiff, but I do appreciate that it had zippers for the ease on putting on and taking off. I just couldn’t get past how long my foot looked in them, and for that reason it’s an easy return for me.

I tried these on in a store, comparing them with a Golden Goose black western bootie and hands down, the JC, was superior in comfort, craftsmanship, and exquisite styling. I found them to run true to size and I like the slightly higher shaft for wearing with long/midi length skirts/dresses as well as pants. They do have an extended sole, so I can see why a reviewer said the boot made (her) foot look bigger, but I like the sleek look. I find these boots to be made of quality leather and are therefore soft and easy on the ankles and overall, they are very comfortable. The heel height is perfect.

The boot doesn’t look expensive- certainly not as expensive as it is, or even as expensive as other options (many of which are less costly). It is narrow and difficult to get on but doesn’t come with a shoe horn so good luck getting your foot in and out. The leather is stiff. Overall disappointed. It went back.
