Claire Floral Embroidered Gown

This dress is gorgeous, so it only gets a low review because of the sizing. Unless you are very busty up top and have no hips, this dress will need substantial alteration to fit! I’m normally a 4 up top and a 6 on the bottom. I snagged an 8 as it was the closest size available. I have several inches to spare in the top, and while the bottom zips, it is plastered to my hips in a very unflattering way. If you love this dress and have to have it, buy for your bottom half, and then get the top altered. This is more bridal sizing than regular. The cut on the bottom is also slimmer (but a size or more) than the Julianna dress in the same fabric.

This dress is stunning. It does run on the small side I typically wear a 14 but ordered one size up. I’m also on the curvy side and busty ( DDD.) Although there is a built in cup I still need a bra and because the dress has a very low back I found a convertible bra that has clear straps that wrap around the waist to hide the straps. Sadly the no strap clear tape style don’t work for me. I need more support. So ladies keep that in mind if you are on the curvy side. I still had to have it altered a bit in the waist because the dress is a little straight but adapts well to the curves. Definitely worth it. After my event I had it shortened to tea length and have worn it to another wedding this summer. It is quite versatile and a stunning lavender color with beautiful embroidery.

I just purchased this to wear for my stepson's April wedding in Arizona. I knew it was the dress immediately after I tried it on. It is true to size for the most part. I just need a slight alteration in the waist. I hope I get the opportunity to wear it again as I love it so much.

This dress is beautiful but runs super small. Especially through the hips.
