Japan Low Top Sneaker (Women)

I have been so excited for these! They look as good in person as they do online. The styling is perfect! I LOVE the color! They have great arch support for such a flat looking shoe. What I am not loving is that 1) they run long/narrow/small. Size a half size down. If you have wide feet these likely won’t work. Even though they fit I feel like the toe area juts out too much and they are narrow/snug on the sides. Because they are so long they bend oddly at the toe 2) causing some discomfort on the big toe as the leather creases inward when I walk. While they are comfortable overall this may be the dealbreaker and I may be sending these back. I’m trying to guess if the leather will soften with time and make this less noticeable or if this is going to dig into my toes too much and cause blisters (see picture). 3) The interior fabric is super soft and shiny, causing my feet to slide around in the shoe. This is most noticeable at the heel. If I keep them I will likely have to install heel grips. Not something I’m happy to do at this price point.

These are very cute and have been in my constant rotation since buying them. They are very lightweight and comfortable as well. However after wearing only once and mostly indoors, they already appeared to have wear and tear. I spoke to someone else who has a pair who feels the same way. The suede portions appeared to have significant fading after 2 wears. I still enjoy them however I do not expect them to last me very long.

The Adidas Japan Low are so cute. I purchased them in the red and orange color and love them. I really didn’t know what size to get after reading the reviews and thought my normal size 7.5 would be big plus this color was always sold out so when the size 7 became available that’s the size I purchased. So these are interesting. They fit but the toe box seems narrow compared to the Sambas. I think my actual size 7.5 would have fit worn with socks but I don’t like wearing socks with this type of shoe so I’ll keep the 7. The one thing I didn’t like was receiving shoes delivered in a bag with a smashed box! Nordstrom really needs to STOP shipping shoes in a bag. There isn’t a shoe box that would make it through the delivery process in good shape. I also noticed in another review that she received an additional pair of colored laces, my shoes came with only one white pair and they didn’t have a colored tip like I’ve seen on some pictures. Plus my sole also wasn’t secured and will have to glue it.
