Janie Waterproof Insulated Platform Boot (Women)

I almost didn't order these because I'd read a review saying the toe box was narrow. I have a wide foot due to bunions so thought they wouldn't work for me, but I needed to replace my Pajar Ceria boots, so I took a chance. Glad I did! These boots deliver. They are really cute without compromising warmth. Pajar boots are also the best for walking on ice and snowpack. I also ordered Sorel's Ona Ave shearling to compare. I put on one of each and shoveled snow off the deck for 20 minutes in 15 degree weather. These Pajars were definitely warmer and better on snow. I'll be wearing these for years.

I ordered these in white and tan in a 9.5 (I typically wear 9-10 and was planning for thick socks) and tried them on with very thin socks and they felt a little small. I didn’t even try walking in them though since there was immediately a quality issue - the seams above the toe box are very uneven and feel lumpy. I tried pushing them flat from the inside but that did nothing, so these were too uncomfortable to even consider. They also weren’t as cute as I was hoping and looked like they should cost half the price or even less. Overall disappointing, I thought Pajar was supposed to be a good brand
