What it does: Liquid Minerals is made of liposomes entrapping liposomes. This state-of-the-art technology encapsulates large amounts of active ingredients, which are time-released into the skin to provide beautiful, weightless coverage. The spheres are suspended in a gel of aloe vera, lavender flower water and vegetable glycerin. As you pump Liquid Minerals, the pigment capsules and serum mix for maximum, flawless coverage.
How to use: Use the dry foundation brush for heavier coverage or wet the brush for more sheer coverage.

Best foundation.
I used a popular brand of foundation for a couple of years, after which my skin started to rebel. I even had to stop using this popular brands skin care that had been working for my dry skin. I started to have all sorts of skin problems. I had used Jane Iredale's loose mineral foundation years ago, but it did not work for my dry skin. My skin looked dry and cakey. So after my latest skin rebellion I tried a couple of other natural liquid foundations. One was pretty nice, but didn't wear all day. So I thought I would give this foundation a try. I am hooked. It made my skin flawless and lasted all day. I do use a little baked mineral foundation on top and it is the perfect combination for me. My makeup lasts all day. My skin loves it. Since changing my skin care and makeup. My skin is much happier and I love they way I look in Jane Iredale makeup. It looks like skin only better. This foundation does have a lighter coverage. If you want more coverage you can apply the mineral powder on top. It is a little different consistancy vs a regular liquid foundation because of the beads of liposomes. I squirt a pump on the back of my hand and warm it up. I use the Sephora airbrush foundation brush and swirl it on my skin. I have used this brush with other foundations and it just works better than a regular flat foundation brush no matter what foundation I use with it. And this brush is no exception with the Liquid Minerals. Also I just love the skin care benefits this foundation has given my skin. My skin is lots better. My skin even looks better when I take it off at night. I just love this foundation. I have not been disappointed.

It's not a foundation
I am trying so many foundations, include BB creams and CC cream. I thought this one could be better than other foundations, but I was wrong. This "Liquid Minerals" foundation is not foundation. When I pumped it out a little bit on my hand, it was like watering thing. When I put it on my face, it showed nothing which kind like you don't wear any foundation. I had to blended it with my other CC cream. This product's price is higher than other true foundation. It worth nothing. I was so disappointed.

Not for me
I have very sensitive dry skin and recently diagnosed with rosacea. I wanted to like this foundation but it is too difficult to apply on my dry skin and it seems not enough moisterizer in it. I returned it. Ian keeping my clarin's mineral foundation #104 sand.if you have very dry sensitive skin and can't blend product on your face because gets irritated; I wouldn't recommend this. I have light olive skin and ordered Satin but it seems little rose beige.

Amazing!
At first when I received this foundation, I clearly did not know how to apply it. When you pump it, I was told that you have to rub it between your fingertips, blend it until it somewhat becomes more creamy, and then apply onto your skin. If you do not do this, but apply as soon as you pump it, you won't have a good coverage, it will appear very light coverage and not blend well on your skin. I am in love with this foundation! Nordstrom online does not have all the colors that Jane Iredale originally has. I wear color satin and it is combination of warm and cool to create a neutral tone. It looks natural and feels so great.

I adore almost all of the Jane Iredale line and I am thrilled that Nordstrom carries it, albeit only online in my area. It would be awesome to see it in more of the stores!
This is a very unique foundation--it's more of a tinted serum than a traditional foundation. VERY easy to apply and blend---just dispense one or two pumps onto your hand, and either apply with a brush ( my favorite), or a sponge. The beads break up as you blend and you are left with lovely, light coverage that lasts and lasts. I usually add a touch of the Amazing Base powder and I love the look---no settling into lines, no caking. I got a great tip from a JI rep---she suggested mixing the liquid minerals with a tiny bit of the Glow Time BB cream for a bit more coverage and "substance". Great tip--my all time favorite.

Liquid Minerals is Awesome!
I actually love all Jane Iredale products I use. Liquid Minerals is awesome. I give it one small pump on the back of my hand and spread it on my face with my foundation brush. Does not feel as though I have on any "makeup"; but makes my skin look moist and glowing especially when I end with a spray of D20 or Pommist! People think I am a lot younger than I really am. Great for sensitive skin.

Great Foundation
