Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder Refillable Brush
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a Jane Iredale PurePressed Mineral Base user for years. I loved the convenient, no mess way of being able to get a flawless complexion. Because I suffer from Melasma, I have been using mineral based sunscreens. Unfortunately, they have a tendency to be heavy and greasy. The oils from the sunscreen deposited on my Handi brush which in turn transferred onto my PurePressed Base. “Hard pan” city! That is when I decided to try the loose minerals. I like it a lot. I even think the color match in Autumn is better for me in the loose formulation versus the pressed. I decided to go with the refillable brush because I travel and because I thought it would be less messy. I haven’t quite mastered the application using the refillable brush yet. It has been a learning curve for me but I will continue experimenting with it until I become more comfortable. Overall, Jane Iredale Mineral Foundation in any form is a 10/10.

Not the appearance I expected. . A

A clever delivery system, but as for the product, the powder is very lightweight and applies smoothly BUT despite the description, once applied it still turns out to leave a very dry finish on my skin, and is not at all appealing. I would not recommend this to anyone with dry skin (naturally) or mature skin either.

So practical!
I had read the reviews from people reporting issues with this product and I was slightly hesitant with the purchase. Order arrived quickly and it was easy to install the cartridge and the brush works flawlessly. I only need a light coverage and don’t use makeup outside of a light concealer otherwise, so this was a perfect all-in-one choice for me. The color blends perfectly with my skin tone and does not look dry. I have to be a little careful with the brush, but I don’t see any mess of powder when I use it. Having said that, I would not use this dressed in a white outfit. I keep this upright in the drawer and would not take it on trips, due to the size and the potential of cartridge unscrewing. Using it at home every day, no issues and loving the color and the slight matte finish. It’s not dull.
