jane iredale
As a casting director and producer, Jane Iredale noticed the negative effects of makeup on actresses' and models' skin and thought, "How about a makeup that's good for the skin?" She launched her eponymous line in 1994 with the product Amazing Base, a skin-soothing loose mineral foundation that remains a bestseller today. The brand offers a comprehensive collection of makeup and skin care products designed to nourish the complexion and enhance its natural beauty.

Gorgeous!
This powder is truly amazing! I was using Bare Escentuals mineral makeup which I thought was great until I realized it was the culprit of my adult acne. I was already a fan of Jane Iredale products but not crazy about the pressed powder as it didn't provide enough coverage and I couldn't seem to find the right color. I'm so happy I gave the amazing base a try. My skin has cleared up and it gives you a nice natural finish. The amazing base is more pigmented then the pressed powder so it goes on a little darker. For example, the Warm Sienna pressed powder was to light for me but the same color as amazing base is perfect.

Dimethicone, really?
Having loved and used Jane Iredale mineral makeup for years, I was shocked by the appearance of dimethicone on the label. That is a deal-breaker, as any short-term benefits are far out-weighed by the long-term damage to my skin. BareMinerals, it looks like you have a new customer.

Satin
I am a long-time user of Jane Iredale -- have used the compact for YEARS but needed a change. Tried CHANEL AQUA VitaLumiere and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundations -- both quite remarkable and beautiful finishes and feels for liquid foundation -- but felt too different for me after using mineral powder for so many years. So I decided to try the loose (weary of the mess) and I am AMAZED at the difference between this and the compact -- no comparison. The finish is like silk that just melts into your skin --looks completely natural -- and with a beautiful glow almost, hard to explain. It's just gorgeous -- my husband has been telling me all week how perfect my face looks, like I"m not wearing anything, that I have such great, natural looking color -- because your skin shines through -- yet it hides everything. This loose powder is perfection !!

great for rosacea
I've tried many products including bare minerals, mac, clinique, philosophy, shisedo, derma blend, and more. This is the only product my super sensitive skin can handle. Worth the money and what I've been waiting for! My skin feels great and the coverage is good.

Radiant color
I have Asian neutral medium skin tone. This color made me look ashy and not complimentary at all. Product returned. On the other hand, I have the color Riviera in the Jane Iredale pressed foundation and the match is right for me. Two different products have different color palettes.

My favorite powder!
This is my favorite powder to date. I have been using it for several years since switching from Bare Minerals & noticed my skin's texture & complexion improved. One work of caution though, when get a brand new container you may want to start by poking only ONE hole in the plastic protective cover. I have found it to be very messy when the container is full & I tend to waste a lot from spillage.
