Just a nice everyday type suit

Overall the suit is very nice and my son looks terrific in it. It should last him a long time. I brought my son into Nordstrom to purchase his first suit and all that goes with it (dress shirt, tie, belt, dress shoes). We worked with a wonderful saleswoman, Eva in Burlington, MA. She understood my son and treated him respectfully as he navigated the selection. I wanted him to take the lead as I stayed in the background until payment time. But there is a bit more to this than the suit itself. It really comes down to the service that we received AFTER we purchased the suit. The suit and shirt that we selected were not available in store and had to be purchased. I choose to have the suit sent to the store. When I went to pick it up, I inquired about the tailoring that would be needed and if I should make an appointment. I was told at the pick up that no there is no need to make an appointment as the tailor was on site daily and we simply needed to show up and the tailor would be able to work with us. That was kind of wrong as I found out a couple of weeks later when we went back to have the pants altered and discuss about bringing in the jacket a bit. First off as we were sitting in the dressing room by the altering area, I noticed a sign about making an appointment with the tailor. Since we did not go into the dressing room the first visit, we never saw this sign nor were told that it would be better to make an appointment. We showed up and was told that the tailor had two customers in front of us in another dressing room and that would then come to our dressing room area directly afterwards. Fine. We waited and waited....after an hour, I talked with a salesperson and then was referred to the floor manager. They simply forgot us and had to find the tailor to come down for what was a five minute consultation. I went to pick up the suit and it was in a simple plastic hanging bag....similiar to something that you would get from the dry cleaners. The blouse that I purchased a bit earlier from Nordstrom came in a much nicer bag. We spent a lot of money on this suit itself and all of the accompanying items and it would have been nice if it came in a better bag for storage....and to take out of the store. It kind of felt cheap. I purposely choose Nordstrom but am frustrated with the post-sales service. All great when you are working with a salesperson, but not as great afterwards.
