I purchased a pair of shoes in-store and was given a box with two different sizes—one shoe was not even the correct size. This was an in-store mistake that should never happen, especially from a company that claims a higher standard of service. This purchase was for a very specific reason—my upcoming Las Vegas trip to celebrate my 50th birthday. I had the perfect dress and these were the shoes to go with it. Now, because of a completely preventable error, I’m left without the key piece of my outfit at the worst possible time. What makes this even more disappointing is that this was my first experience shopping at Nordstrom. I expected attention to detail and reliability, and instead I’m dealing with a frustrating and time-sensitive issue. A mistake like this is avoidable and reflects a lack of care at the point of sale. Not a great first impression.
