In the late 90's (I'm dating myself here), I started to buy "designer" jeans: 7's, True Religion, Paper Denim & Cloth, etc. for a lot of money. Since then I've bought many other brands, both expensive and affordable, out of the 100-200 pairs of jeans I've gone through, J Brand has been the best fit for me. The leg is skinny, but not too skinny, the rise hits perfectly right below my navel, I love the dark wash and my bum looks good. I give these jeans two very enthusiastic thumbs up. I think it takes lots of trying to find the best fit for you. Always take reviews with a grain of salt. Jeans are just as personal as skin care, underwear, etc. Good luck!

Great looking jeans. I would like them better if they were softer and not as stiff. I know some women like stiff because it 'holds' stuff in, gives support, etc., but I like my jeans buttery soft. I'm 5" 6.5' and 104 lbs, true ruler w/ longish legs. My waist is 24" or 25", depending upon whether I measure after I've eaten or not. So, I went with the 25. They fit perfectly in the butt and thighs, but the rise was too short. Got the 26. The rise is higher, and they fit a little loose in the butt and thighs, but the rise fits good. Height is good for someone close to my height.

If you've never owned a pair of JBrand jeans, it is time. You will LOVE them. I'm very particular about my jeans. I want them to be flattering, super comfy, hold up to lots of washings, be very fashion forward, look great with a silk top for a casual work day or dressed down for the weekend. I could go on and on with what I want a good pair of jeans to do, so when I find a brand I like (JBrand!), I become very loyal to that brand (so far have 6 JBrand jeans and love them all). The fit is so true to size that I just buy them online and they fit like a dream!

When I first put these on I thought oh man, these are going to be too small. But keep in mind they really have a snug fit, in the waist they fit perfectly, but the fit overall is SUPER SNUG! After wearing them around the house for a few minutes while getting ready, I got used to them and really liked the sleek/tight look. These J Brand jeans are almost like jeggings....only definitely more high quality/thicker material/more structured, but one step up from jeggings is how I would describe them. They make your butt look great, and definitely have some structure to them...The "ink" color name is right on target, it's exactly as if a blue ink pen exploded and dyed these jeans, the wash is super dark, almost black if you don't look carefully. I got 3 compliments from other women while wearing these if that tells you anything, I also wore these while on live TV and they were very flattering with heels. I have worn J Brand before but never tried a fit so snug from them before...they have a pair that is high waisted and more relaxed that I love too.. but I like this pair for going out or when I need the darkest denim possible without wearing black.

These are exactly what I would want and expect from a pair of dark, skinny jeans. They are soft, slimming, the ankle opening is the perfect size in my opinion, and they are not too high or low rise, hence the "mid rise" description. :) I normally wear size 4 in most brands and size 26 fit me well--very snug but allowing for some stretch after wearing them. I love these jeans and expect to buy another pair to add to my wardrobe!

These fit well, except that they were really, really short. I'm 5'9" and have other J Brand jeans that are the right length, but these are actually ankle jeans on me. I think it looks awkward, so I'm sending them back.
