Isadora Off the Shoulder Organza Gown

I bought this as a possible mother of the bride dress for a tropical wedding. I loved the fabric - it was light and flowy. The fit ran a little bit on the smaller side... it was snug but I could still zip it. I hated the over the shoulder part though. Underneath is an elastic band and you pull the fabric over it. It didn't stay in place and I would've been adjusting it all night so I returned it.

I am 5'2", 115 lbs, 34C - this fit perfectly everywhere, EXCEPT the shoulders kept riding up or wouldn't stay on the side like in the picture. I do need to get it altered for length, by an inch maybe, because even with heels, I kept tripping on it. The material felt so soft and luxurious. The pleats in the front didn't feel correct, or look like in the picture, but I forgot about them into the evening. I gave it four starts because of the shoulders, but maybe I just need to get it altered. I will wear it again at another event.

I was really looking forward to this dress, but it did not match the photos on the Nordstrom site. The bodice pleating, which looks smooth and structured online, arrived wrinkled and uneven. The pleats didn’t lay right, and the off-the-shoulder detail did not lay soft and draped as shown. I’ve decided to exchange it for the same dress in hopes that I just received a defective one and the next will look as pictured.
