Dressy looking floor maxi if your 5'6" or shorter

I had tough requirements look dressy, long enough to hide the ankles, hide chub part of arms, and still give me a figure without making my butt look 3 times bigger! This rating is before wearing but I find it flattering considering I'm 5'5", almost 6 months pregnant and nearing 200 lbs! Yikes! Note: My regular weight 133 and that's wearing a size 4. I hate my arms right now so wasn't sure how the split sleeve would look but it hangs nicely into an elongating point and only reveals a touch on the sides not that back arm flab. I ordered a large and it fits just right. I'm not sure if that will change in a few months when I'm bigger but for now it works for an upcoming wedding in June (2017). I will also probably wear a kitten heal because it does pretty much hit the floor but I don't want to hem. I didn't want to wear panty hose in June or ever for that matter so the length does me right for covering my legs too all the way down past my kankles! If I could only wear a burka!

Wanted to love it.

I wanted to love this dress. I love LOVED the Ingrid and Isabel I had previously bought: the fabrics were so soft and comfortable and I was able to continue wearing some dresses I bought well after pregnancy and postpartum. So, even though I'm not pregnant, I was eager to check out I&I because this was a style dress I was looking for and I enjoyed their comfort and quality before. This dress, however, leaves MUCH to be desired! The waistline is so tight, that I seriously struggled to get it over my head, shoulders and bust. I can only imagine the difficulties a pregnant woman would experience. The dress needs a zipper if they want to keep empire waistline so fitted. Now let's talk about the fabric: with kimono style arms, the colors and pattern of the fabric should woven all the way through because the sleeves would flutter and show the top and underside of the fabric. The fabric on the printed dress is white on the underneath. It looks cheap and that's not acceptable. The fabric also does not feel as cozy as, say her knee-length wrap dress. I don' know what's going on with design and production at Ingrid & sabel, but I was less than impressed with these current offerings.

Size up

Size up! Dress is very pretty and flattering on, however go up a size from normal. At 5'8" and 9 months pregnant the large fit well. Ivory color though nice online is transparent when wearing. All undergarment colors, lines, etc show. Might be worth keeping in the navy color, but ivory wasn't. Material a bit too thin.

Love it!!!

This dress is very flattering and comfortable. I plan to dress it up with jewelry for a fall wedding. The empire waist is at the perfect place to make me look "skinny" at 30 weeks. The color is a great deep navy.
