What it is: A weekly mask to help wake up dull and tired-looking skin.

What it does: It combines vitamin C-rich java plum, mango and banana extracts with wintergreen-derived BHA to help gently exfoliate dead skin cells and improve skin brightness and clarity. Kaolin and bentonite clays help clear pores and absorb excess sebum. Jasmine and burdock root extracts leave skin feeling smooth, supple and luminous.

In a consumer study of 33 participants after four weeks of use:

How to use: Apply a thin layer to freshly cleansed skin, avoiding the immediate eye area. Allow the mask to sit for up to five minutes, then gently rinse with warm water. Use 2–3 times per week for optimal results, or once per week if you have sensitive skin.

fine product, horrible smell
Honestly I love this brand & their products! That said, this one smells like body odor and is just not worth it for that alone. Do not recommend.

Smells bad
I can hardly stand the smell. I received this in an advent calendar... I usually love masks but this one smells terrible like mildew and vinegar. I left it on just to see how my skin looked after and my skin felt nice but nothing exceptional... I much prefer other masks to this one. Not sure if mine was rancid but I just got it so I would think it is pretty fresh

Excellent exfoliating mask
This mask really helps improve the texture of my skin and I instantly notice a difference. It is exfoliating, but it isn't too harsh. I have really sensitive skin and it doesn't bother me at all. In addition to helping with dry/rough skin it also helps me keep acne at bay. I typically cleanse my face using a facial steamer, use the iwaken mask, rinse, preform facial extractions, and then add the clearing mask. It makes me feel like I just got a professional facial!
