Raincoat

Just what I’ve been looking for! This raincoat is sleek and stylish — and useful. It is loose enough to fit a heavy sweater or a jacket underneath. (I usually wear size 16 and ordered an XL.) After today’s barnburner of a rainstorm, I can attest to this raincoat’s water-resistance. I wouldn’t quite call it “waterproof” simply because, after standing in a 1-hour-per-inch downpour, the lining did change color, indicating seepage, in two or three spots. That being said, the inside of the coat did not get wet, and every part of me, from head to knees/mid-thighs (I was squatting to bail) stayed completely dry. This coat is a winner.

I ended up returning the rain jacket because the color was off for me (more of a mustard yellow and not the bright banana yellow I was looking for) and quite thin, just a shell basically, which I find doesn't match the price. I think this color jacket would look really good on someone with darker skin or a blonde (I have pale/pink-toned skin and brown hair, green eyes). I love the hood with the toggles, the length was also nice for an average sized person (I'm 5'11", so a little shorter on me than on the model), as well as the arms were long enough. I ordered a size 38, which is one size larger than I usually am. With it, I could've fit a light sweater under it for warmth.
