What it is: A limited-edition summertime scent that fragrances the skin with fresh, juicy notes of prickly pear, bergamot and jasmine.

Fragrance story: Ilio is a tribute to the Mediterranean land bathed in light and fragrance. In Greek, the world Ilio translates to the sun. Transport yourself to the heart of the Mediterranean, a land of unspoiled beauty, of scents and colors, a constant source of inspiration for the maison. At sunset where prickly pears cluster along a narrow cove and lavender and lemongrass surround you, for a scent that sweeps you away. At the heart of the composition is an unusual fruit with fresh, juicy notes: the prickly pear. Bergamot illuminates its liveliness while jasmine brings nuance, softening its green facets with a delicate floral note. The final touch: iris rounds out the accord with a velvety softness. The artist, Erik Winkowski has illustrated the iconic oval on the limited-edition bottle, a creation of colorful simplicity that celebrates the authenticity of nature in the summertime.

stunning summer floral
Didn’t love this at first because I thought it may be too young. But gave the sample a couple more wears and I fell in love. This is summer in a bottle in a non coconut way. This is so bright, uplifting, very realistic prickly pear. Very fresh in the beginning and creamy on the dry down. Lasts about 4-5 hours on skin, moderate projection. Great limited edition fragrance.

Bought this naturally had very high hopes as it's Diptyque special release for the summer. Unfortunately I find this disappointing. Yes it smells nice and fresh but I do not think this is particularly distinctive and the lasting power is too bad for the cost.

Yummy but short lived
Smells amazing, however has limited staying power on the skin. On clothing the scent lasts for a while.

Gorgeous summer smell
This is the perfect summer smell, bringing a little bit of Parisian chic to very hot climates. Lighter than most other perfumes from this range, this scent is exquisite to wear when other heavier perfumes in your rotation would be simply inappropriate to wear in the blazing sun. Brought this one with me to Sicily last summer and the beautiful cactus fruit notes were a perfect homage to the scenery surrounding us. Not ideal if you are looking for heavy perfumes like what people usually associate with “luxury” fragrance but a stunning success for a summer scent.

Unique scent but not long lasting
This is actually my first Diptyque scent. Since it is an EDT I did not expect much about longevity, but to be honest this smells clean and fresh, giving the beach summer vibes. Definitely great to wear during the summer, lovely smell after a few hours but I must say this is not long lasting, I work long hours and the scent only stayed for about 3-4hrs.

Mediterranean
Usually I have to have a musk note in my perfumes. But this is so unique and perfectly done I can do without the musk. It goes without saying that this is a very good summer perfume. It captures the air of summers in the Mediterranean perfectly in my opinion.

Great Summer scent
This is a beautiful summer scent! Much more fresh and light than the other diptyque scents I have. The lasting power is a little less than their others however. I would recommend this but definitely have gone through it faster than normal. A fun summer scent!
