This vase by Finnish designer and architect Alvar Aalto debuted in the 1930s and continues to make waves today, thanks to its famously fluid yet simple form. Originally inspired by the lakes around Aalto's native country, each sculptural piece is still mouth-blown at Finland's littala glass factory, so each one is a unique, artful addition to any space.
