Iconic Selection Travel Size Eau de Parfum Set $120 Value

Nordstrom has the best value for Byredo’s set compared to other places you could get them. I was more interested in Bal d’Afrique and Gypsy Water rather than Mojave Ghost. I was indeed a big fan of Bal d’Afrique, which certainly has a ‘medium intensity’ and it’s perfect for every day. Gypsy Water definitely is my second favorite which gave off a distinct lemon scent. Mojave Ghost has a light powdery scent but I still prefer the other two! Nonetheless it’s a very worth it purchase considering it’s hard to find it anywhere else and it’s lower than $120-$150 price that i’ve been seeing everywhere else.

I was hoping this was similar to Le Labo and that most of the scents would be different and intriguing. While they were different from most of the mass market perfumes (Versace, Givenchy, Armani, blah blah blah), they were not intriguing. Nor were they pleasant. And unfortunately the scents lasted just fine. Mohave Ghost smells like an 80s fruit eraser, and dries down to smell just like feminine deodorant spray from that same decade. Gypsy Water reminds me of when I was sick during my childhood because it smells like baby aspirin, an astringent fake orange. And Bal D’Afrique smells like commercial sanitizer or carpet deodorizer- think hospitals and hotels. If you’re looking for something different check out Le Labo.
