Light weight warmth
I have been searching for a shorter length legging for skiing, the merino is light weight and warm but just a bit more itchy than I anticipated. These leggings do not seem to be as smooth as the men's bottoms base layers.

Very nice leggings
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These fit well and seem to be well-made. I wear them hiking when it's a bit too cool for shorts but too warm for full-length leggings. I wish they were a tad shorter (they're almost ankle length on me), and I really wish they had pockets on both sides instead of just one.

Not my favorite purchase but worth if on sale
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited for these but unfortunately they're not my favorite Icebreaker purchase. I got the XS per the size chart (24" waist, 35" hips) but the waist just feels uncomfortably tight. The fit is fine elsewhere but they also just feel scratchier than other 95%+ merino items I've owned. The thighs are a bit see through but it looks like the crotch area is reinforced and not see through so I appreciate that. Ultimately I think they'll still be great as a baselayer for skiing (I'm 5'3" and the 3/4 length is accurate - perfect for ski boots) but I wouldn't wear them on their own or for long periods of time sadly.
