A far cry from Tatcha Water Cream
I tested a sample of the HydraKate Water Cream but, being familiar with the good ol' Tatcha version, I failed to be impressed. The HydraKate looked very similar on the surface and felt as sturdy in its jelly-like consistency. However, post-application it became very clear that the results were a far cry from the Tatcha Water Cream in terms of hydration levels, the feeling it left on my skin as well as the visual improvements upon the skin. The price is similar, but the only aspect I would award more points to the HydraKate is the air-tight packaging. That being said, the HydraKate is probably a decent cream in itself, but in my personal experience it just is no match to the Tatcha. Knowing how good the Tatcha version is, to me this is not worth even half the price of the Tatcha Water Cream, even with the fancier packaging.

Light yet very hydrating
I received a sample of Kate Somerville’s Hydrakate Recharging Water Cream and I was pleasantly surprised by how hydrating the product is. This moisturiser is so incredibly lightweight that it absorbed instantly into my oily skin without leaving any stickiness or residue whatsoever. My oily yet dehydrated skin felt hydrated throughout today and this product didn’t make my skin look shiny. I would definitely consider purchasing the full sized version of this product.

Instantly Softens
I tried a tester of the Kate Somerville Hydrakate Recharging Water Cream, and as someone who has used many of her products, this one definitely fits the brand’s gentle, well designed approach to skincare. The lightweight water cream texture feels instantly cooling on application, and it gives the skin a fresh, dewy glow right away.
My dry skin looked more recharged and radiant after using it, and it works wonderfully as a base for makeup and adds a soft luminosity without feeling heavy or greasy. Over time, my skin appeared more supple and revived, and it definitely gave me a nice boost of hydration. Hydrakate is a beautiful option if you want something lightweight that boosts radiance while supporting the skin barrier.
Overall, a refreshing, soothing water cream that delivers a healthy glow, revives and softens the skin.

LOVE this product!
I LOVE this product! I have been using this moisturizer for many years and will not use any other. I have sensitive skin and have lived in both hot and cold climates. This product keeps my skin moisturized without feeling oily, heavy, or "filmy". I cannot say enough good things about it!

Glow and hydrate
Got this fmas a sample from a different purchase. Used this when I went to a wedding and it made my skin look like I had a facial treatment. It made my face hydrated with a nice glow. Got a compliment on it. Pretty happy with the product and will be happy to purchase full size.

Really lightweight
I tried the HydraKate Cream and while it’s lightweight, I wasn’t overly impressed. It provided some hydration but didn’t make a noticeable difference compared to other moisturizers I’ve used. For the price, I expected more visible results. It didn’t sink into my skin as well as I’d hoped, though that may be more about my skin type than the product itself. I’ll definitely be sticking with other Kate Somerville favorites like the K8 Peptide Cream.
