This classic Chelsea boot is constructed of durable rubber with a cushy footbed and a contrast heel counter. A flexible herringbone-patterned sole provides multi-directional grip on wet surfaces.

Saw them on someone else and immediately wanted

I'll admit it. I saw another woman wearing these and went looking for them. I ordered these AND the Classic version, because I wasn't sure which would fit better. The "refined" fit like a glove. Immediately comfortable, functional yet stylish. I've always wanted Hunter boots, but I'm short and tall boots don't complement my stature. These are terrific. I will agree with some other reviewers: You'll want to make sure your socks are high enough to pull up. Otherwise the boot can seem to rub against your skin around your shin/lower calf. Foot bed felt good right away (that's why I kept these and sent the "classic" version back). Haven't worn them enough to get a feel for the longterm fit and comfort, but I'm confident enough (and super picky) that I don't expect real issues.

Shoe Horn and Boot Jack Not Included

These are very nice looking and well-made boots that would have been perfect for the rain. However, I almost got a hernia putting them on and taking them off. The loops on the back are somewhat dainty and getting your fingers into them to pull up the boot takes some precision, but they're not substantial enough to help pull up this stubborn boot. Once I got them on, I noticed that the removable insole had pushed forward from all my effort and was uncomfortably bunched up at the toe. Once I finally got them off, also a painful process, I returned them. Too much to deal with to be practical. You need an arsenal of shoe hardware or a personal valet to help get these on and off.

Narrow

I wish it was possible to will this boot to fit. The Hunter Refined Chelsea Boot, is extremely narrow when compared to the original Chelsea. I could feel my feet pressing on the edges, and could see it too. Going up a size just made my feet slide to the front, but the width didn't change. I love the look of the boot tho, sleek and stylish. It just wasn't meant to be.

Perfect Chelsea Rain Boot!

Love these rain boots! I’m usually an 8.5 in regular shoes. I bought a 9 in these boots and they are super comfy and durable. I walked all over Seattle wearing these boots; no blisters. I bought the same boots in “mens” for my husband. He loves them, too.

I love these Hunters!

These rain boots fit like a glove! I'm usually a size 5.5, but got a 6 in the case I want to wear a cozy sock. I do have to say that I can't tell the difference between the 5.5 or 6 because they are so comfortable! I have a wide feet and they make my feet look thin and classy. Highly recommend them!

Very hard to put your foot in

I really wanted to love it but I couldn't. The size of the shoe is perfect BUT it's IMPOSSIBLE to get your foot in and out of this shoe. The opening of the shoe is not expandable and very tight that it took my like 3 mins to get my foot in. I first couldn't get my foot in with socks so I took it off and tried it without socks. Took me forever. If only the opening of the shoe had more flexibility, making it easier to put your foot it and take it out, I would've kept it.
