Normal size 38 ordered; snug and stiff with no room to spare; but it wonderfully snugs feet. Stable, and sturdy. I like it, with all of my pain points with booties addressed-small toe is not crushed. Not loose in heel area.ankle area is open enough that it doesn’t come in the way of foot movement, yet can be snugged as needed with the functional tie. I am a fast walker so comfort and stability are very important. However - the shoe is ‘loud’ and the zipper pull tab swaying makes a noise as if you are walking with a chime. As it is very hard for me to find a good fitting bootie, that i can walk in normally, I’m going to wrap the pull tab with some clear wrap and see if the noise will go down. Overall a wonderfully made shoe.
