Isla Corset Lace Cocktail Dress

if you go on house of cbs website and lookup this dress there are videos of the model wearing this, the color matches those videos very well. it is an olive color with a pretty metallic shimmer slip underneath the lace. I bought a size small which is my usual size for tops and dresses. I am 5'6", size 26 or 2 in jeans and 32dd bra size. the length is perfect midi. Also was worried about the top fitting since house of cb has option for fuller cup dresses for d/dd cups but the only option was normal small for this dress so I took a shot and the top fits perfect! the top has underwire, so if you're like my size you can push up ur boobs while putting on the dress so they sit on top of the underwire and are held up that way...hope that made sense. the ribbon also lets you customize the cleavage and tighten so no worries about nip slips either. danced in this dress and walked a lot. when I first put on this dress it fit perfectly but I tested sitting in it and it felt a little constricting on my thighs so I was worried if I wore it to an event and sat too fast it could rip by the thighs but I kept it and thought I'd just watch myself - sit slow, get up slow. but actually I think it just needed to be worn in a little? the slip was less constricting as the night went on and it just got more comfortable (and not because I ripped it or anything) so maybe if that's your experience wear it around before the event or sit and stand a couple times slowly. not sure how to describe this since it's not like the dress got loose after a while it just kinda molded better to my body after a while. I do have small strides in this dress because the lace goes down a little farther than the satin and for me it altered my walking, the workaround if I needed to walk faster was just pulling up the lace while I walked to be the same length as the satin. this dress was def worth the money for me. it's so beautiful with the metallic, the lace on top is very nice, the color is unique - no alterations needed, no bra or underwear necessary and even though it's all satin on the inside it is a corset like construction. once you zip you feel snatched and the top gives great support. I def recommend and was very happy that size small fit my body so well!

This product runs true to size. I bought a size up after reading that this dress ran small and that the stretch factor was a 1/3 (on the house of cb website), but it ended up being loose and not flattering. If you want a fitted and shaped look, definitely get your size (or maybe smaller) because I think it would have potential to leave you snatched!! I ended up not reordering in a smaller size because the color looked more dull and dark gray in person rather than a forest green color. I also expected the bust/chest area to look and be more supportive than it was. The lining under the lace seemed liked it’d be easily wrinkled since it was wrinkled all along the middle when I got it.
