What it is: An oil-free, weightless and multipurpose primer that goes beyond traditional formulations.

What it does: This primer works hard, concealing redness, minimizing the appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles and shielding skin with broad-spectrum SPF 15 protection. Designed to repel water to keep your makeup looking freshly applied all day long, this primer extends the durability of any foundation or powder while providing broad-spectrum protection with titanium and zinc oxide. Its unique texture is fluid, airy, silky and cushiony and goes on weightlessly without ever being greasy, tacky or pearlized or balling up on your skin.
How to use: Apply 1/2 to 1 pump of Veil Mineral Primer to clean, moisturized skin prior to concealer, foundation and powder application. It works with any cream, liquid or powder foundation.
Pro tips: You can also use it as a clean-up tool for your makeup, applying it to cover any excess eye makeup. Dab a small amount onto a cotton swab and glide it across any areas with eyeshadow fallout, or to clean up a cat-eye.

Best Veil
Although it probably depends on ones' age, skin type, & setting powder, Mineral Veil is simply the best for me. A self confessed make-up fiend, Allure Magazine is my Bible, I have tried essentially all of the "better" primers, and have settled on this one. For good. I immediately got compliments on my skin, as well as my make-up, when I started using Mineral Veil, i.e. "who taught to to do your make-up," "you have such beautiful skin," etc. Think it evens out my skin tones, sets my powder, & gives me a little added glow. I also noticed that my make-up always looks good regardless of the powder I apply over it. (Sometimes I run out of the better powder and use the drugstore stuff in between.) Even Drugstore powder looks good over Mineral Veil. To note, I have dry, aging skin and although oil free, it works. I am never going to try another primer. For me, Meineral Veil is it. (If I could only find a great go-to eyeshadow, I'd be set!)

Not for my skin
Everyone raves about this primer, and I wish it worked for my skin the same way. It doesn't. It feels greasy on my skin, doesn't hold my makeup in place, and it makes me break out. I do have hypersensitive skin, so I'm probably the anomaly.

Absolutely the best
HOLY GRAIL! This primer is everything! I have sensitive, acne prone, and dry to combination skin and I'm stunned that is the first primer that doesn't cause any irritation to my skin.
PROS: Light weight, oil free, fragrance free, make up last 12+ hours, makes skin feel smooth and soft, nice smell, classy and elegant bottle
CONS: The price, however I am always willing to spend the money on products that don't cause any breakouts because it's very rare for me.

Hourglass veil mineral primer
Love this primer, melts into skin immediately and does just what it is supposed to do, keep foundation where you place it and stops your face from absorbing your foundation. A little goes a long way, just so happy to have found Hourglass.

Great for my textured skin
I was excited to finally try this primer . I had been using Chanel Le Blanc for years as well as Kiel’s and Benefits Professional . This Hourglass product really impressed me! I wore it below my Chanel Le Beiges foundation.

Hourglass Veil Mineralized Primer
Very happy with this primer. It's lightweight and silky but not greasy. I have normal skin but tend to be drier in the winter months and this primer holds my foundation in place while giving a luminous glow. It works well under liquid/cream foundation AND powder/mineral foundation. While the price is a little steep for one fluid ounce, one pump is plenty. Not sure how oily skin users would fair, but since it is lightweight I think it could potentially work. Overall I'm quite pleased and I will re-purchase when I run out.

Not a fan
I always wear a face primer so I thought I would try this. It leaves a dull finish and at this stage of my life, I need a little radiance. Also it feels like it rolls at the end of the day. When you rub your hand across your forehead, you feel little pebble? I'll stick to my favorite, Laura Mercier radiance primer. It gives me a little bit of radiance
