Retractable Kabuki Brush

This retractable kabuki brush is well made, dense and soft bristle, good functional size (1 1/4" in diameter) yet very portable, fits in my small makeup pouch I carry in my purse. I use it for touch up of the SPF powder for shine control through out the day. I am sure it can be used for buffing, bronzing and etc. Since it takes long to dry after wash (it does not air dry over night I have to use blow dryer to rid the dampness in the middle), I would be reluctant to use it with liquid product and put the lid back on.

This brush can do everything! I can use this brush to apply my primer and foundation, it is so soft on the skin and really buffs it out. It also picks up a lot of powder when used with powder products as it is very dense, so be sure to use a light hand when doing that. Anyways, I own all of the Hourglass foundations. I have a specific use for each! Immaculate liquid to powder: for oily t-zone areas Hyaluronic skin tint: for the other dryer areas or when my face is peeling from Retin A use Veil fluid foundation: for a lighter BB cream feel for when I don't have much covering up to do and just want a nice glow. And let me tell you, this brush works for all foundations (Hourglass or not)! If you own the Hourglass liquid to powder foundation YOU NEED THIS BRUSH. A sponge, beauty blender, or other kabuki brush will not do, trust me I've tried. This brush is specially made for that particular foundation. This brush also works for the Veil Fluid foundation and the Hyaluronic Skin Tint! Also love how small/compact it is and it has a cover (great for germ freaks like me)! I certainly don't want open brushes touching everything in my dirty purse! This brush is also very easy to wash, just take some liquid dish soap or hand soap in the palm of your hand and rub your brush in circular motions (dish soap works best to get makeup or any oil residue from your skin off the brush). Then lay flat on its side to dry, do not set it standing up or water will seep to the bottom of brush and who knows what will happen then! For faster drying, take an air dryer and put it on the coldest setting, absolutely DO NOT use any heat or it will melt the bristles since they are artificial. Remember to wash your brush at least once a week if used heavily, or at least every 2 weeks normal use. Make sure to dry thoroughly before putting the cap on or using again. Best to wash at night and let it dry while you're in bed.

Compact and sturdy. Love this for travel because it has a cover. This brush blends my foundation perfectly and leaves a flawless finish on my face without worrying about makeup lines

This brush is one of the few I’m not really impressed with. It’s a decent kambuci brush for sure however because it’s short and dense I don’t reach for it at all. It doesn’t blend well and I have t found use in my make up routine. However still a beautiful brush it’s just not for me
