Great Brush Fact Not Opinion
1. Washing brushes in philosophy's Purity is a recipe for disaster. It contains known irritants, and isn't the type of product which one should use to clean brushes. If brushes don't dry from a cleanser, that means there are emollients in the cleanser; brushes shouldn't be moisturizer. 2. This Hourglass brush is AWESOME :-) :-) :-) It has very gentle, soft bristles (as is Hourglass's norm), yet is firm enough to fulfill it's role well :-) 3. This brush being retractable means that it is excellent for keeping in a bag/purse, and for travel, as one doesn't have to worry about the brush smudging product over anything :-)

Not Good
I would have given the brush no stars but not allowed. I bought this brush July 2016. Every month I wash my brushes in Philosophy Purity. All my other brushes have lasted for years doing this. This brush not only did not get clean but the bristles turned hard and the brush never dried out. I am 10 days after washing and the bristles are still wet. Needless to say, I will be returning this to Nordstrom and getting something different.

Lovely make up brush
I really love this make up brush. The only down side to it is if you drop the lid it can dent or get dirty. I feel like it’s worth if you’re using it every day otherwise as a collection brush I would avoid. Lovely and neat in your bag, just wish they were less expensive to replace. I’m onto my third one

Perfect Brush for Travel
I purchased the Hourglass Foundation Brush but always worried about protecting it in my bag when traveling. So..I picked up this retractable version which I also love. It's a little smaller but still does the job nicely without any streaking. The bristles are synthetic and soft and very easy to care for without having to be too delicate. I recommend this if you want a brush you can toss in your bag or travel with.

Perfect size for my cosmetic bag when I travel
I have a Kabuki brush that I use for my bronzer and got this brush for blush . It works perfectly and it doesn't take too much space this is exactly what I've been looking for, I'm glad I found it.
