Horsebit Block Heel Sandal (Women)

Bought this product on Friday evening and wore at a dinner date for literally 2 hrs and came home to a trashy ripping sole making it look like I went on a rocky hike with those heels on. Very cheap quality product. I would 100% prefer a $40-50 shoes that stand by for the price. Paid $920 for such a disappointing product. Took it to Nordstrom Sunday afternoon and was been told it’s a “normal wear and tear” not sure if 2 hr use will make it look a multiple times worn shoes and call it normal wear. May be a designer tag and cheap quality gives you such a product. Bottom line, buy if you only walk on velvet red carpets.

I purchased these in cream this spring and have worn them so much! They are super comfortable with the wide heel and even though the strap is thin, it is sturdy and the shoe has a great structure. They are also extremely versatile and I have worn them with everything - jeans, slacks, skirts and dresses. They dress up or down equally well.

I’ve been a loyal Nordstrom customer for years and have always chosen to purchase my luxury items here over going directly to the designer — largely because of Nordstrom’s reputation for exceptional customer service. That trust was shaken recently. In December, I purchased this pair of Gucci sandals. I wore them three times before the strap loop broke — a clear manufacturing defect. When I brought them back hoping for an exchange or repair, I was turned away with no resolution offered. I wasn’t asking for a refund. I wasn’t trying to return a well-worn pair of shoes. I wore them THREE times. A $1,000 pair of sandals should not fall apart after minimal use, and a retailer like Nordstrom should stand behind the luxury products they sell. This experience makes me seriously question why I should buy high-end items here instead of going directly to the brand. The designer boutique experience includes white-glove service and accountability. What does Nordstrom offer that justifies the choice? After this, I’m not sure. I hope Nordstrom reconsiders how they handle quality issues with luxury purchases. Until then, I’ll be taking my business to the brands directly.
