Hooded Zip Jacket

Love this piece for spring and summer. I have it in three colors and am always grabbing one of them when I go out the door. I would say they run true to size. I typically wear a small in Eileen Fisher, but I got these in a medium because I like a “roomier”fit for a zip up hoodie. I like the fact that they are zippered and not just an open cardigan. This is lightweight enough to wear in the summer, especially in air-conditioned facilities. For reference, I am 5‘10“ and typically wear a size 8.

I have been waiting for a cotton jersey hoodie to come back. I purchased four of them because those I have are very worn out. One is more than 15 years old and though it looks well used, it remains intact. All four of these that arrived today show a weakness in the ribs of the jersey where the pocket is attached. After several items with pockets over the last few years formed holes within months,I am afraid to keep these. I wish Eileen Fisher would revisit how they used to attach pockets to cottons so that they did not produce holes. These are too expensive for me to be able to wear for the short time before the spot where the pocket is attached expands into a hole. P.S., Since the problems began, I don’t use the pockets, but that doesn’t stop the holes from forming. Nor do I wear the item tight.
