Excellent coat

I bought it for the length, the material, and the color. Living in Colorado with it’s quirky seasons I’ll use it as an all weather coat.

Totally NOT water resistant

I have been an Eileen Fisher buyer for many years and trust them so much, always getting more. This coat is beautiful. Before purchasing I called EF customer service to see if it was water proof. They said it would be fine in light rain but not waterproof. So I bought it and went out in a light rain for about 15 minutes. The water soaked entirely through the coat and the hood. My hair got soaked, and my clothing underneath also soaked all the way to my underwear! On top of that the double layer fabric got very heavy and stuck to my clothes like a weight! My hair got soaked even with the hood on. The double sides caused it to be a very heavy weight and super hot. Absolutely unacceptable. Luckily, I was able to return. I coat like this should be able to withstand some rain. Wish it was water resistant because it looks lovely.

Reversible flexibility great; button holes stiff

This raincoat is great for travel because of its reversible nature. I didn’t give it 5 stars because the buttons are difficult to get into the button holes

Washing issue

Had this coat a couple of years. Love it, But washed it according to instructions … now wrinkly. Can I touch up with an iron?

Nice but fabric is more heavy than I expected

I like the coat design. But since the fabric is not light and it has two layers, it feels more thick and heavy - more like a fall coat not a rain coat. It is beautiful but I need to find something else.

Good not great

I had an Eileen Fisher raincoat for years that was a gray zip up lightweight raincoat. I was hoping this would be the same, but the fabric on this coat is heavier and it isn’t a shape I love as much as the other was longer and more streamlined a zipper. I got it on sale and if I been at the store, I probably wouldn’t have bought it, but I’m keeping it because it’s too hard to sit back but I’m a little disappointed play the fabric and the shape of the raincoat in terms of being stylish.
