Floral Cotton Maxi Dress

I had high hopes for this dress but was ultimately disappointed for several reasons. The fabric feels very similar to what you’d find in the Beach Lunch Lounge brand, which is available at Walmart—definitely not what I expected at this price point. The dress arrived crumpled in a bag and was extremely wrinkled right out of the package. It also features four long tassels, each ending in a cluster of cheap-looking plastic “shells” that clink and clatter loudly with every movement. Several loose and untrimmed threads added to the overall poor first impression. The fit was also a letdown. The shirring around the torso creates an unflattering, thick appearance. I first ordered a small, then tried an extra small to see if that would help the silhouette—but the XS was a full 5 inches shorter than the small. For reference, I’m 5’3” and it was barely long enough. Unfortunately, the overall quality and presentation just don’t meet the standards I expect from Nordstrom. I really wanted to love this, but was quite surprised by the poor quality.
