Gaviota 4 Running Shoe (Women)

Sadly the quality and number of knowledgeable salespeople at the full line stores has changed considerably. Nobody had any information about these shoes when I was interested in purchasing. I ended up online doing my own research. Had I known from someone’s experience that going from one shoe brand to another at my age with the both lack of arch support and different degree of drop- I would not have tried these out. I am nearly 50, been running for the last 25 years and very much like ASICS. Huge difference in support. Hikes feel great for walking around during the day but not a shoe I would use for running. I feel a difference in my feet, arches, hips. Not a good feeling. And here is where it would have been great to have someone knowledgeable to say you’re not supposed to or yea it’s better for you because… anyhow, after a month of trying to get used to them. It was not worth the discomfort in my body. I will be returning these. May have to resort to REI from now on when it comes to salespeople. Sad to say Nordstrom isn’t what it once was.
