Hiker Hover Mid Rise Slim Straight Leg Jeans

I own 5 other pairs of Mother denim, most of which are 95–98% cotton, so I know what this brand is capable of. I was really surprised to see these are only 73% cotton with 26% Lyocell. Yes, the Lyocell makes them softer and easier to pull on, but it also means they stretch out significantly with wear — which is exactly why so many other reviews recommend sizing down. At $238, I shouldn't have to worry about my jeans losing their shape by the end of the day. The wash was also underwhelming. "Fight For Your Right" looks more like something you'd find at H&M or Cotton On than a premium denim brand. It just doesn't have the depth or character I've come to expect from Mother. I'm returning these. If you're a loyal Mother customer who loves their high-cotton denim, be aware that this pair is a real departure from the brand's usual standard.
