Can’t get rid of the smell

I’m not sure if I will keep these. The material is nice if not a little too stretchy, high rise is in the right spot and the cropped length can go casual or dressy. But they fit just a tad too sloppy. I got a 28 but could a 27 fit better? Not sure if I want to reorder.
