High Collar Wool Felted Coat

I originally planned to buy a reg M but jumped on the PL as soon as I saw it available online. I’m normally a PM in Eileen Fisher but recently gained enough weight to size up to a PL. Plus, the brand’s PM tops sometimes don’t fit well even at my usual weight (I’m a US I or J bra cup/UK G or GG cup). The PL coat is slightly oversized on me: the sleeves are still too long but I just roll them up 1-2 times, and the overall fit is relaxed. I can easily hold the front closed over my chest and around my hips, even if wearing a thick sweater. The side slit pockets hit exactly where I need them and the hem is calf length on me. My local Nordstrom has a few of these out on the floor in reg sizes (I miss having a petites section in-store and wish Nordy would at least mix some petite sizes in with the regs). I tried on a reg L for comparison and nope, that’s too big for a short person. I say that as someone who often wears regular sizes in other brands to get an oversized look. This coat in a reg size is TOO oversized for me. The reg M was better but the proportions were too far off compared to the petite sizes. A couple snaps or hooks sewn into the front would be nice, but I appreciate the included pin. And I love the easy drape of the wool. This coat will be great for fall, before daytime temps drop below 45ºF.

This coat is everything I was looking for. I went with the advice of Nordstrom and ordered a size down; I’m usually a small and got the x-small and the fit is perfect. It fits and drapes so well, super lightweight so it’s not falling off my shoulders, the fabric is sooo soft and not at all itchy!! It fits well enough around the waist that it almost completely closes in the front without even trying, the collar stays together and folded nicely - everything is like the photo. It also has large side slit pockets which are a must. I am so in love with this coat already. It was well worth the money.

Chic, stylish, comfortable, and sufficiently warm for wonderful fall days. It runs large in size, but that was not a problem because I was in the store and simply tried them on until one fit. The small fit perfectly and goes over a long sleeved lightweight top, but I normally wear a medium in EF clothing. Love it!

I just received this coat in Dove color and I was so happy when I tried it on. I purchased regular XS.I’m normally small in EF sweaters,small in coats. This runs just a bit large. I love the length of this coat in me,i’m 5’4” and it’s 4-5 in below my knee.i chose regular size because I like longer length/coverage.It makes it chic and classy. The drape is very flattering. Overall,this is very beautiful and timeless piece from EF. I highly recommend it

This is such a poorly made wool coat, the fabric is very thin, poor quality, the sleeves are tight—more like a sweater than a coat. I purchased a Large Petite and the coat came down to my ankles (5ft tall) . The seams on the coat are deconstructed as if the coat is inside out. This is simply NOT a quality piece for your wardrobe. Avoid making a purchase . . .I have an older coat of EF, styled much the same—much better quality.
