Hi Definition Perfecting Powder

Where did all these 5 star reviews come from? This stuff is not great, I'm returning it. I didn't think it an improvement over lower-priced transluscent powders, my bare minerals mineral veil works better. I applied it with a fan brush and the powder particles were visible on my skin, ridiculous. Definitely highlighted wrinkles and dry patches. I was sooo looking forward to receiving this and am really disappointed. This does not work if you want a glowing or dewy look, it looks powdery and uber-matte like the look that was in a decade ago. It also doesn't work if you have dry skin, it just clings to flakes and patches making them whiter than they otherwise would be. And it definitely defined my fine lines. It works fine as a setting powder and adds coverage, but at the cost of looking like extra, unflattering makeup. I was so excited to finally get this after all the positive reviews and waiting for backordered product. What a shame.

This is by far the best translucent powder I have ever used. I have purchased in the past at least 60 different designer brands of pressed and loose powder and hands down this is far superior and amazing. I have very dry skin and for the first time in my life, I have a powder that does not dry out my skin. It sets my foundation to perfection and is like a thin veil of luxury. I loved this so much that I purchased a second one. It made my skin look fabulous. The texture is like nothing I have ever used. I do have the Chantecaille Kabuki brush to use with this product but I prefer to use the fan brush from Trish McEvoy. To sum it up this is my favorite product from Chantecaille and I own the whole line.

The most I've ever worn on my face is a little blush or concealer/foundation but when I tried this powder I was amazed at how pores and fine lines were erased. And without ANY dryness or caking even after a full day at the office. I just turned 40 and wear foundation more regularly. I can put foundation, concealer and blush on with this powder on top and it looks absolutely natural...well, better than natural. Colleagues thought I had taken the weekend off to relax because I looked so refreshed. It is easy to apply, quick and simple. Get a good brush with it to complete the experience - a little luxury every day for a very reasonable price. Way to go Chantecaille - another star product in your repertoire!

I buy this powder for my mom several times a year. She LOVES it! It makes her face look flawless and she is 73 years of age. I have not used it myself but I have seen it on my mom and it's a game changer for sure. I prefer not to spend that much on powder but I may give it a go myself.
