hip everyday bag
I was looking for a hip every day bag and this is perfect. Fits my knitting, my mac air and all my necessities. I don't normally write reviews but I love Herschel and I love the color. So excited and I get compliments all the time.

Black Herschel Tote may be a win.
This tote bag is really almost everything I wanted in a bag. It has a really good amount of to hold all my various things in and it's great for travel. I went to San Francisco this weekend and I was able to keep a 40oz Hydroflask, a Canon camera, a hoodie, and a smaller bag for my other items such as portable charger and hair product. There are some improvements that can be made, there can be more separate pockets on the inside, for instance. The one large pocket there is on the inside is very loose and doesn't hold anything inside of it really. This is supposed to be more of a beach bag though, I just think my all black is fashionable for me to take anywhere, so I forgive the lack of pocket space and whatnot. Also, the straps on the outside provide various locations to hang keychains or similar items so that's a win there too. Worth $80? Maybe. I'd say it's at most $50, but whatever I like it. Get all black.

Awesome bag
I bought this bag for school and was worried at first that it might be too small for my textbooks. Nope, my books fit fine. This is such a good simple bag for everyday use.

Detailed Review -- Best "carry it all" bag!
I don't normally feel inclined to write reviews for stuff, but man, this bag is amazing! I'm a high school teacher, and I've forever been on a quest for a bag that would prevent me from toting around the ever so dorky teacher rolly cart of stuff. At first I was skeptical that it would not hold everything, but it holds everything with ease, without being too heavy. Here's a detailed review because I wish there was a review like this before I decided to purchase.
There are two bottle pockets om the side of the bag. Perfect for a 40 oz hydroflask bottle and the other pocket I put my glasses case and my work keys. The side pocket outside the bag is perfect for those things you need quick access too (phone, wallet... etc).
Inside the bag, there's a big side pocket that can fit flat items like planners, notebooks, moleskine type journals, etc... without flopping around, this pocket also has an id/phone pocket, but I don't really use it. There's also a hook near this pocket in the event you want to attach your keys into there. The main part of the bag can house a pair of shoes, gym clothes a pencil bag and a lunch bag on top if I really wanted to squish. The way the bag is designed allows you to evenly distribute your items, without it feeling too heavy (from the description I gave you, it sounds like I have my whole life in it, so you may be carrying even less stuff inside and it might be too big for all your stuff) It really does hold a lot more stuff than you expect, so be advised. It's really a bag for people who need to lug around a lot of stuff. I also highly recommend for commuters.
The handles allow for you to swing it on your shoulder as well as hold it in your hands comfortably and it's pretty comfortable, but the long strap is probably the best way to carry if you have a lot of stuff in it.
I've had so many attempts to find a bag that can truly carry it all, and this is definitely it! It's totally worth the $80 price tag!
