Herringbone Crop Wool Blend Peacoat

I’m not a huge fan of wool coats as they feel itchy, heavy and bulky on me. But I decided to take a chance on this one as I like the cropped trench/peacoat style and have a lighter cropped khaki trench that gets a lot of wear. Needing something cooler toned, I wanted to give this a try. It is perfect. Fits TTS, the wool blend is much more soft than itchy, lending it a warm and cozy vibe while still looking perfectly on-trend yet classic stylistically. It’s beautifully lined and just the right length in the sleeves and torso. I thought I’d be returning it but love it so much I think I’ll hang onto it. It will be perfect with all of the cooler black, grey, cream, baby blue and soft pink toned outfits I wear from late fall throughout winter and into early spring.

The color is a light grey herringbone and the weight is heavier than we are used to wearing in Texas but it feels like a a fine wool. The collar is a little itchy which I suppose is expected with genuine wool. The style is beautiful and looks great. I disagree the suggestion that it runs large. I am normally a size 4 but I usually size up one or two sizes for jakets to allow long sleeves underneath, layers and to be able to move my arms. I purchased the 4 because that was the only size available. It fits fine but it is not running larger than usual. There is arm movement with a thin sweater underneath but not if I wear a bulkier sweater.
